About me
I have been an educator for 30 years. I am a New Jersey Certified Teacher and registered Consultant and Instructor of Adults with Professional Impact New Jersey. Currently, I am a Center Director and Professional Development Instructor with Acelero Learning Monmouth/Middlesex County Head Start. I have been a consultant and instructor for: Starting Points, Preschool Literacy Consultants, New Jersey Teacher2Teacher, Brookdale Community College, the NJ Community College Consortium, and the NJ Civil Service Commission.
Other related experience includes 15 years with Mustard Seed School in Hoboken, NJ: nine years as an associate kindergarten teacher, two years as a Comp. Ed/IEP resource teacher, and four years as a sixth grade home room teacher of all subjects. In addition, I served one year as the Asbury Park Workforce Investment Act grant coordinator, an education/job training program for young adults, ESL Level 2 Instructor for the Asbury Park Adult Night School, and STEM after-school program instructor for Hope Academy in Asbury Park, NJ.
I am a double major honors graduate of New Jersey City University holding bachelors degrees in Education and Environmental Science. I am a member of the National Head Start Association, National Association for the Education of Young Children, and International Literacy Association. My personal interests include: reading, music, cooking, and gardening. I am committed to providing high quality developmentally appropriate education experiences for children and adults. I am an avid life-long learner.
